At present, the development of cold chain logistics in China is still on the primary stage of such models being developed by relying on the experimental zones of industrial park, inter-across business operation of enterprise, or the in-depth development of single business. There are few large-scale and professional logistics enterprises. The basic situation of China's third party cold chain logistics development is that: the third-party logistics enterprises (which take food production enterprises as matrix) and the independent third party logistics enterprises coexist and advance forward together. Professional third party cold chain logistics accounts for about 20%, mainly are small and medium-sized enterprises, and lack of industry competitiveness.

In 2013, The cold chain logistics market has many eye-catching points in China: First, the rapid growth of cold chain door to door delivery market, in 2013, E-commerce brands such as Tmall, JD mall, Suning.com, Express (SF) and Too Too Organic Farm advanced into fresh food market, leading the rise of cold chain door to door delivery, but currently their scale are small, and take presale as primary.

In 2013, generally, the cold chain logistics industry in China grew steadily with the cold-chain demand scale of 93 million tons, and the overall market growth rate of about 20%.
