Abstract
This Health Industry Insights report examines best practices for the
selection, implementation, and meaningful use of EMR at ambulatory practices.
This report is based on research by Health Industry Insights
that was conducted in 2008 and 2009 and included over
40 interviews with ambulatory EMR users, case studies, and secondary
research on U.S. ambulatory EMR implementations.
According to Judy Hanover, research
manager with Health Industry Insights, "The goal of this report
is to provide end-user insights into ambulatory EMR selection and
implementation, and illuminate best practices related to the ongoing development
