Abstract
The report is devoted to analysis of situation on the float glass market in
Russia in 2000-2010 and forecast of its development in 2011-2015. This work is
based mainly on desk study, which results were obtained by expert analysis of
official statistics, publications in mass media, press-releases of companies
producing and consuming float glass as well as their annual and quarterly
reports. Besides to verify and correct some data telephone interviews with
representatives of float glass producers were conducted. The report consists
of 6 Sections; contains 99 pages, including 24 Figures, 46 Tables and Appendix.
The first Section of the report presents brief characteristics of global
market of float glass, data on volumes of its production by the leading
companies-manufacturers, regional and sectoral pattern of float glass
consumption. Brief characteristics of float glass markets in Europe, North
America, China and CIS countries are presented as well.
The second Section is devoted to analysis of float glass production in Russia.
The Section presents statistics on float glass production in 2000-2010,
description of the current conditions of the leading companies-manufacturers,
including data on product proposal and production volumes, volumes and
destinations of supplies in 2008-2010.
The third Section analyses foreign trade operations of Russian companies in
float glass. It presents statistics on volumes of export and import of the
products in bulk and in money terms, estimation of regional structure of the
supplies, data on glass supplies volumes by leading Russian exporters and
importers.
The forth Section of the report presents supply-demand balance of float glass
in Russia in 2000-2010, estimation of regional and sectoral structure of
consumption, seasonality of supplies. Also estimation of share of major
suppliers and competition level is presented.
The fifth Section presents data on dynamics of average selling prices on float
glass, dynamics of average purchase prices on the products (in general in
Russia and broken by Federal Districts) as well as current prices of several
float glass producers. Also data on prices on exported and imported float
glass is presented.
The sixth, final, Section is devoted to forecast of Russian float glass market
development till 2015.
The Appendix presents contact information on the main Russian producers of
float glass.
