目錄

The approach to energy management services for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers is evolving. While the cost of distributed energy resources continues to decline, C&I customers are putting a premium on the predictability of energy spending, reliability of service, and sustainability. Since achieving these objectives is a complex task, C&I customers look to service providers to help streamline decisions on energy. In response, utilities, competitive retailers, ESCOs and technology vendors are finding pportunities to bundle or expand their services, creating an emerging marketplace for integrated energy management.

Energy management begins with strategic planning and incorporates commodity procurement, off-site renewables procurement, deployment and operation of onsite energy resources, and energy efficiency retrofits, many of which have been handled as separate tasks in the past. A heightened focus on customer objectives is driving the integration of these tasks, evolving toward an "energy as a service" model.

This 50-page report segments leading market players and assesses their recent initiatives, placing them in the context of the transition underway in C&I energy management.
