China and India will drive the refining capacity growth in Asia and Oceania by 2018 accounting for more than 55% of the total increase in the capacity. The refining capacity of China, the largest refiner in Asia and Oceania, is expected to increase by 27.7%. The refining capacity of India, the third largest refiner in Asia and Oceania, is expected to increase by 45.5%. The annual capital expenditure for the planned refineries in Asia and Oceania is expected to increase from US$18.2 billion in 2014 to US$20.3 billion in 2018, a total increase of 11.1%.
