Abstract
The downturn in the consumers confidence index in the behavior of economy that
affected the long-lasting goods purchasing decision and the saturation on the
consumer capacity of indebtedness are the main factors that lowered the sales
volume to inferior levels than the ones registered in 2007. This study will
show the facts and trends of the automotive industry in Mexico, where it is
going and what to expect for 2009 and years coming.
