Abstract
Although timelines still differ a little bit, regulators in Brazil, Dominican
Republic, Mexico and Peru are already moving towards number portability.
Besides, Chile, Colombia and Panama are also studying its implementation.
Hence, operators have to face both technical and strategic implications. A
look at the international experience helps put the impact of this particular
piece of regulation in context and assess market implications. Finally, the
study includes recommendations on strategies both to attackers and defenders.
