Abstract
This study is designed to assess the world Managed Security Service (MSS)
market through consultations with a broad sample of the industry' s service
providers (MSSPs). These MSSPs monitor and manage clients' electronic
infrastructure from their Secure Operating Centers (SOC) in order to protect
client data and communications from anomalies and attacks. MSSPs perform these
collective services through the use of Intrusion Detection and Prevention
Systems (IDS/IPS), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), firewalls, anti-virus,
content filtering, authentication, and applications security solutions.
