Total manufacturer-level revenue will increase with rising sales of advanced collision parts and premium bulbs, and LED upgrades driving the growth. Collision repair accounts for nearly two-thirds of manufacturer-level revenue, and this segment should grow faster than the rest of the lighting components aftermarket as demand rises for high-priced designer headlamps and LED headlights usually replaced only in the event of an accident. Plummeting LED prices will rise marginally in the forecast period, despite rising sales of premium, technologically advanced products. Change in technology and customer preferences would drive light manufacturers to focus increasingly on emerging trends, especially LED lights. Overall market will grow but aftermarket and original equipment suppliers should be alert to changes in the fast changing consumer preferences.
