目錄

This IDC Energy Insights study provides analysis of the results of the annual IDC Energy Insights Survey covering the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. The analysis focuses on IT spending trends in the utility sector and responses from 72 executives who took part in the survey between June and August 2011.

The objective of this study is to understand current IT priorities, budget allocation and its evolution, and procurement channel selection among utility enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe.

"The utility industry has proven more resilient to economic turbulence than other sectors, but obviously it is not immune, and the effects are being felt. The 2011 survey shows that companies operating in the utility sector in Central and Eastern Europe are implementing tight cost controls and demanding strong justification for individual IT investments." - Senior Research Analyst Milan Kalal, IDC Energy Insights, Central and Eastern Europe
