目錄

Abstract

Mobile Shipments Executive Summary

Mobile shipments have grown more strongly than most predicted. Global penetration has reached 4 Billion or roughly 65% of the total population, this is much higher than the 45% penetration that was forecast by this time just a few years ago. Consolidation in technologies and suppliers has occurred with TDMA and analog all but gone, and iDEN and PDC in steep decline. Nortel is likely to be purchased by Nokia Siemens, which itself is the combination of Nokia Networks and Siemens Communications. Alcatel and Lucent have also merged. Huawei continues to grow and is definitely the third place vendor behind Ericsson and Nokia Siemens.
