The lighting fixtures market in the Middle East and North Africa is estimated by CSIL worth US$ 3.3 billion for the year 2015. Since 2010 consumption of lighting fixtures registered a robust +12% as yearly average. However, due to the oil price implications, the market showed a -4% in 2015. The Region is a big importer of lighting fixtures (around US$ 2.4 billion, equal to 76 % of the total consumption). The population living in the MENA countries is about 243 million inhabitants and it is heavily concentrated in the urban agglomerations. Per capita lighting consumption is estimated at US$ 14.
