Summary: Highlights of this Report
This report offers an overview of the use of LED within the lighting fixtures
industry worldwide.
Consumption of LED based lighting fixtures is estimated for the years
2005-2010 and forecasted for the years 2011-2015. Data are given in million
USD and in percentage values on total lighting fixtures. Annual percentage
changes 2006-2015 of LED based lighting fixtures are also included. Countries
considered: Western Europe, Central-Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, China,
Japan, India, United States, Latin America, Middle East, Africa.
A breakdown of LED lighting fixtures worldwide market is provided by segment
(residential, commercial, industrial, outdoor lighting).
CSIL has collected data on sales of LED based lighting fixtures in around 400
companies. The top 100 among these companies sell LED based lighting fixtures
for cumulative 3.6 billion USD and CSIL estimate that is around 87% of total
LED based lighting fixtures sales for the year 2010. For a relatively small
group of companies (around 90) it is available a time series of LED based
sales of lighting fixtures.
LED based lighting fixtures sales and related market shares are provided for
the major companies operating in this market by considered countries and by
main applications. Short company profile are also included.
An overview of OLED technology in the lighting fixtures market is offered with
particular attention to the following countries: Europe, Japan and Korea,
United States, Brazil.
A section containing background technological information on LEDs is provided
at the end of this research.
