Brazilian retail sales grew from BRL932.1billion in 2009 to BRL1,373.6 billion in 2014 at a CAGR of 8.1%. Food and grocery was the largest category group accounting for 60.2% of total Brazilian retail sales, which represented a value of BRL827.1 billion.
