Beer posted a good growth aided by the impressive growth of the new Chang beer and celebrations around the New Year festive season. Chang Classic was released in an emerald green bottle with a champagne gold label in order to make the brand look premium but at a mainstream price. The beer increasingly took over the market and made good gains on the market leader Leo. Traditional retail continued to be the main channel in the market as consumers preferred to buy their beverages from these markets and take them home to consume with friends and family.
