Bishop & Associates Inc. has just released a new detailed report that covers multi-gigabit data communications connectors and cable assemblies. This market research report contains in-depth analysis of the market for these products, along with profiles of some of the top vendors in the different networking segments: Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and InfiniBand.

Within the datacom market, Ethernet remains the most pervasive networking technology, with Fibre Channel second and InfiniBand third. It is anticipated that by as soon as 2012, InfiniBand will surpass Fibre Channel due to its increasing penetration into the high performance computing sector, and because of its adoption into low-latency applications such as financial trading. Still, by 2015, it will only be about one-fifth that of the Ethernet market as shown in the following tables.
