BMI View:We expect developing Asia to continue driving growth in Asia's food and drink sector. Developing Asia is characterised by favourable consumer dynamics which are providing significant growth impetus for food and drink consumption. Rising incomes and rapid food retailing formalisation will continue to support growth in developing Asia over the medium term, particularly in the Mekong region. With that said, developed Asia will continue to weigh on growth on the back of a mature retail sector and negative demographic trends.
