BMI View: Developing Asia's consumer market will attract a considerable amount of investment over our forecast period on the back of favourable consumer dynamics. A weak growth outlook in developed Asia will induce consumer-facing companies in these markets to expand in the fast-growing developing Asia region beyond our forecast period. Asia's alcohol sector will remain challenging beyond our forecast period as growth in Australia, Japan and New Zealand continues to slow down, driven by a structural decline in beer consumption.
