目錄

"Regulation and competition have muted interest in CSP-led mobile financial services, but major vendors are well placed to drive the development and adoption of such services."

Consumer mobile spending has increased significantly over the past decade, but a significant proportion of mobile commerce bypasses communications service providers (CSPs). Many CSPs have considered implementing mobile wallets as a means of entering the mobile money space, but growth has been impeded by regulatory bottlenecks and increasing competition. Consequently, CSPs have adopted a cautious approach before making any significant investment.

This report:

  • analyses vendors' strategies for CSP-led mobile financial services (MFS), and examines selected key vendors' approaches to mobile wallet platforms in detail
  • assesses the impact of the interoperability of mobile wallet platforms on the market.
