Abstract
Report Overview
The Headliners, Soft Trim and Acoustics report covers trends in two related
areas of the car, namely: headliners and related trim parts which increasing
play an acoustic function in the car and the wider issue of vehicle acoustics
and NVH materials.
It specifically looks at how car companies have integrated the development of
an acoustic and NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) strategy into new
vehicles' engineering programmes from the outset, rather than simply adding
acoustic materials to vehicles when they are close to the start of series
production. Moreover, one of the key themes of this report is how the industry
is increasingly designing acoustic functions into interior and indeed exterior
parts. In turn, this has significant consequences for suppliers of both
traditional NVH or acoustic materials and the components which use these
materials.
This report is over 100 pages in length and includes key profiles of all the
major suppliers in this sector. Available now in PDF format.
