Abstract

AMA Research have published the Eighth Edition of the report ' Access Equipment Market - UK 2008-2012' . The report definition includes both non-powered and powered access products, including ladders, scaffolding, MEWPs and mast climbers.

The UK market for access equipment has been relatively buoyant 2005-07, underpinned by growth in the overall construction market and increased use of powered access products in a number of end-use sectors, though 2008 has been much more difficult as the UK economy and key sectors of the construction industry enter recession.

The report reviews developments within the industry since 2005 with current forecasts of anticipated market performance to 2012, assessing recent trends, key influencing factors and future developments within the UK market for access equipment - both short term developments in 2009-10 and underlying prospects through to 2012.
