Nowadays, as users are looking at better QoE in mobile content streaming and in the usage of mobile apps, mobile network operators are facing the challenges in optimizing for better user experience and customer satisfaction. The introduction of small cells, pico- and femto-cells, as well as distribution antenna system and C-RAN, leaves mobile network operators with an increasing dynamic and complex heterogeneous network. Mobile network operators can ill afford to maintain a highly complex network with large pool of engineers to manually optimize every aspect of their networks.
