The IDTechEx Awards recognise company development and success in all energy harvesting technologies and applications including the pertinent wireless sensor networks and real time locating systems (RTLS) fields.

The award ceremony will be held at the gala awards dinner. The awards are hosted by IDTechEx, a leader in providing independent global research and analysis on the development and application of energy harvesting and storage, wireless sensor networks and RTLS.

Any company operating within the energy harvesting and storage and Wireless Sensor Networks and RTLS fields is welcome to apply.

Closing date for submissions: Monday 16 April

 

Best Technology Development of Energy Harvesting

 
This award will be given to a company which has launched a new product based on energy harvesting (in the last 24 months, Q2 2010 - Q2 2012) and is in the process of bringing it to market. The category will be assessed on the technical development of the product, its potential market, and benefits it brings over alternatives.
 
 
 

Best Application of WSN

 
This award is given to the best implementation of WSN. In particular, judges are looking to see the payback from the system, how problems were overcome (if any), and benefits to the user.
 
 

Best Application of Energy Harvesting

 
This is the award given to an actual commercial success with an end-product using energy harvesting (in the last 24 months, Q2 2010 - Q2 2012). Judges will look for success in terms of products sold and revenues generated.
 
 
 

Best in Show

 
This award will be voted for by attendees for who they think is the most impressive company exhibiting at the Energy Harvesting and WSN tradeshow. The award will be presented at the award dinner.

Best Poster Session

 
This award will be given to the company and or academic organisation for the most promising advances in the area of Energy Harvesting or Wireless Sensing Technologies (in the last 24 months, Q2 2010 - Q2 2012). The category will be assessed on the technical development of the work, its potential for market entry, and benefits it brings to the body of work in the given area.
All organisations displaying a poster session in the exhibition will be entered for this award.

    • Approximate 200 word summary of project
    • Approximate 500 word explanation of why you should win the award with suitable evidence and examples of success

    • Judges may request further information on your submission
    • Submissions should not contain confidential data
    • Companies that apply will not be named
    • The winners will be announced at the Harvesting & Storage and WSN & RTLS Awards Dinner on 15 May, 2011
