將龐大量的數據轉換成有益的生物學研究知識

由於生物學研究的資訊量爆炸性增加，在分子生物學的領域達成許多進步，用來使定序（genomic sequencing）迅速化的高度技術和機器亦不斷進步。因此，能使生物學研究和臨床醫學更加發展，透過與遺傳性疾病和後天性疾病、癌等直接有關係的基因調查及分析等找到治療法。此外，如果使用電腦的工具和手法，能找到疾病的分子基礎，就有可能設計出以成為疾病原因的基因作為標的之醫藥品。

以疾病和癌治療目的而製作的資訊量持續增加中，提高能將龐大數據轉換成有益生物學知識之電腦儲存系統、處理系統和送信系統的必要性。此學會中，業界和政府機關、醫療機構的專家齊聚一堂，展開有關核酸排列和蛋白質排列之資訊和構造資訊的註釋、保存、分析、檢索等具說服力的議論，並介紹最佳經驗。此外，亦預定舉行有關內容和分析軟體、服務、IT基礎設施等的演講及專題討論會。

Who should attend: Executives, Directors, Senior Scientists and Project or Group Leaders from pharma, biotech, academia and healthcare organizations working in Drug Discovery Informatics, R&D Informatics, Bioinformatics, Research Informatics, Translational Informatics, Cancer Computational Biology, Data Screening, Cancer Discovery and Scientific Information Systems

The deadline for submission is July 29, 2011.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
