分科委員會discussion group

Interactive Breakout Discussion Groups:

Concurrent breakout discussion groups are interactive, guided discussions hosted by a facilitator or set of co-facilitators to discuss some of the more poignant questions facing the industry. Delegates will join a table of interest to them and become an active part of the discussion at hand. It is an informal, yet informative, format that allows attendees to learn from each other and make some new contacts. To get the most out of this interactive format please come prepared to: share examples from your work, vet some ideas with your peers, be a part of group interrogation and problem solving, and, most importantly, participate in active idea sharing. Topics may include:

  • Designing and implementing a clinical enrollment plan: Strategy development, plan implementation and contingency planning
  • Planning to market and enroll patients outside of the US? What country specific requirements should you be aware of
  • Identification and selection of investigators: Sponsor expectations; investigator expectations; do they really have the patients?
  • Maximization of patient recruitment and enrollment: Centralized versus site-based recruiting, marketing/advertising, call centers, outreach strategies, staff training
  • Benchmarking: Are you achieving your recruitment goals?
  • Planning for recruitment with adaptive trial designs
  • Recruitment of special populations
  • The art and science of site management: Communication pathways, data discrepancy resolution, site payments
  • Enhancing patient compliance and retention
  • Utilizing new social media and Web 2.0 technologies to facilitate the new paradigm of patient-centered trials
  • Leveraging social media for clinical trial recruitment: social networks and emerging technologies to accelerate clinical trial recruitment
  • Case studies: Effectively utilizing patient recruitment service providers
  • Comprehensive clinical trial promotion: Effective scientific communications, health PR, and social marketing
