Mr. Arena is deputy chairman of PCCW's Executive Committee, group chief financial officer of PCCW, a director of Pacific Century Regional Developments Limited (a substantial shareholder of the company), an executive director, and an Executive Committee member of Pacific Century Premium Developments Limited. On March 28, 2007, he was appointed by the Board of PCCW as group managing director of the company in effect from April 30, 2007. Prior to joining the Pacific Century Group in 1998, Mr. Arena was a special policy adviser to the Hong Kong government from 1997 to 1998.
