Dr. Gao has been in his current position since September 2006. He also has been a professor at Peking University since 2006. Dr. Gao was managing director of ICT from 1998 to 1999, professor and vice president of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2000 to 2004, and professor and vice president of the University of Science and Technology China from 2000 to 2003. He was a professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Computing Technology from 1996 to 2005.
