Abstract
Ovum periodically looks at the use of ON gear in enterprise networks or as part of managed services offers to enterprises. It is clear from our latest research that opportunities for ON vendors to sell directly to enterprises are expanding, while growth in ON-based managed services, contracted through providers, also remains strong. Vendors are meeting enterprise needs for more capable products, but to truly serve vertical markets, both equipment and service providers need to improve their demonstrated understanding of different segments' needs. Obtaining fiber for private network builds remains a key source of frustration for enterprises.
