Abstract
Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) are entering a new phase with next generation low Earth orbit constellation and new ancillary terrestrial components. In a move to quench the ever-increasing thirst for voice, audio, data and video anywhere, anytime, the satellite industry is responding to growing mobile communications needs.
In the vision to create a truly global network, satellite products and services are becoming key enablers to sustain networks that deliver rich media "communications-on-the-move" (COTM) and "communications-on-the-pause" (COTP) across a wider array of platforms. Players in this space know that customer needs are on the upward slope and command ever-specialized products at acceptable if not lower prices.
