Vision-sensing technology is something that has been around since the early 1990s but which only recently has become a hot topic within the automotive industry. This brand new report from IMS Research looks at demand for applications that use camera modules, demand for camera modules themselves and demand for image sensors.
It starts with providing market forecasts of eleven applications in eight geographical regions. Some of the applications always use a camera module; others have alternative sensor technologies to choose between; while some do not currently use camera modules at all. Trends in fitment rate, system average selling price (US$) and market revenues are provided for each system in each region from 2006 to 2015.
The report moves on to look at demand for camera modules themselves looking at location of camera module in the vehicle (front, interior, side and rear).
