Abstract
Description
Within the space of 15 months (March 2006 to June 2007), the portfolio has evolved from what are considered ' core Bluetooth ICs' to include a high speed version and an ultra low power version of Bluetooth technology (formerly Wibree). The landscape for Bluetooth wireless technology is changing, expanding for the better.
According to Anders Edlund, Marketing Director of the Bluetooth, "The Bluetooth SIG wants to ensure its members have the very latest and best information on the Bluetooth market. Over the last 5 years, IMS Research has consistently provided reliable data, and as the market for Bluetooth technology evolves, so too does IMS' research. This data will help our members to understand the key market trends and develop products to meet future market requirements".
IMS Research has tracked the market for Bluetooth wireless technology since its inception, and has recently published the eighth edition of its annual Bluetooth report.
This new 227 page report, compiled after extensive research and industry consultation includes:
- Detailed unit shipment information for 15 end-equipment markets including upside and downside scenarios.
