Abstract
The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of glass sands
market in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report is
composed of 7 Sections, contains 103 pages, including 17 Figures, 36 Tables
and 2 Appendices. The report is a desk research. As information sources, we
used data of Rosstat (Russian Service of State Statistics), State Committees
on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of Russia, Russian
official domestic railage statistics, sectoral and regional mass-media, yearly
and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of
enterprise-producers of glass sands.
The first Section of the report presents data on reserves of glass sands in
CIS countries.
The second Section of the report is devoted to review of existing technologies
of quartz sands concentration and requirements, imposed on quality of the
commodity products.
The third Section of the report presents data on volumes of mining and
production of glass sands in CIS countries in 1999-2007.
The fourth Section of the report describes current standing of the main
enterprise-producers of glass sands. It presents data on pattern of ownership,
volumes of mining, characteristics of the products manufactured, directions
and volumes of supplies, as well as plans of further production development.
In addition, description of projects of enterprises on mining sands is given.
The fifth Section of the report analyses data on foreign trade operations in
glass sands in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The sixth Section of the report is devoted to analysis of domestic consumption
of glass sands in Russia. In addition, the Section presents sectoral pattern
of the sands consumption, data on directions and volumes of supplies,
describes current standing of greatest consumers and their plans on the
production development.
The final, seventh Section of the report presents forecast of production and
consumption of glass sands in CIS countries.
Appendices present addresses and contact information on main producers and
consumers of glass sands.
This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we
