Abstract
The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of market of sodium sulfate in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report consists of 6 Sections, contains 66 pages, including 18 Figures, 34 Tables and Appendix. This work is desk study. As information sources, we used data of Rosstat, Inter-state Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of Russia, official domestic railage statistic of JSC RZhD (former Ministry of Railway Transport of Russia), sectoral (industrial) and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as data from web-sites of company-producers.
The first Section of the report presents data on available technologies of production of sodium sulfate, their features, required resources and their grade. The section also presents data on deposits of natural sodium sulfate.
The second Section is devoted to analysis of production statistics of sodium sulfate in CIS countries. The Section presents requirements (of valid normative documentation) imposed on quality of sodium sulfate of various kinds: technical (natural), crystallization, granular and bichromate one. The Section presents statistic data on volumes of production of sodium sulfate in CIS countries, and describes current standing of the greatest producer of the products.
The third Section is devoted to analysis of Russian and Ukrainian foreign trade in natural and synthetic sodium sulfate for 1999- the first half of 2006.
The fourth Section is devoted to analysis of domestic prices on sodium sulfate in 2006, as well as analysis of data on dynamics of export-import prices on the product for the latest 8 years.
The fifth Section presents analysis of consumption of sodium sulfate in Russia. The Section offers supply-demand balance of supply-demand balance of the product, sectoral and regional structure of consumption, description of current standing of the main end-uses of sodium sulfate and current standing and prospects of development of the greatest company-consumers of the product.
The sixth, final Section of the report presents forecast of development of Russian market of sodium sulfate up to 2010
The Appendix includes addresses and contact information on the main company-producers of sodium sulfate in Russia.
