Abstract
The Chinese mobile TV market has been stalled due the existence of competing standards since 2006. The SAC has short-listed five candidate standards: DMB-TH, T-MMB, CMB, CMMB, and CDMB, with each standard being supported and developed by different companies. CMMB is currently the most likely choice as it is supported by the SARFT that controls mobile TV policy and spectrum resources. The report analyzes the five major mobile TV standards in China and the current state of the Chinese mobile TV industry.
