Abstract
This IDC insight will evaluate the role WiMAX will play in the New Zealand market. An assessment will be made of global WiMAX deployments, before addressing local market characteristics. A technology and competitor analysis will be provided, as well as the demand-side drivers for broadband, particularly WiMAX. Based on the above, a five-year forecast of fixed wireless broadband, based on different market scenarios, will be outlined.
