Abstract
This IDC study updates the Asia/Pacific Branded Tape Automation Market,
2007-2011:Semiannual Update (IDC #AP267201P) published in November 2007. This
study relates to the tape automation systems market and provides the following
market data:
- A summary of the market in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ in 2007 compared with the data in 2006
- The revenue and unit shipments broken down by country, class/technology, library size, and vendor
- The 2008-2012 market forecasts for the region, as well as separate forecasts for each of the 13 countries covered
"In 2007, the APEJ tape automation market registered a 15.2% and 6.1%
year-over-year (YoY) growth in the value of shipments and unit shipments,
respectively. IDC believes that this observation underscores the recognition of
tape as the last line of defense, as well as the rapidly changing nature of the
market that increasingly favors the adoption of tape automation systems as
