Abstract
This IDC study presents the findings from our 2008 Canadian Top Executive Survey, which examined senior business executives' views on ICT' s role in achieving their organization' s business goals. The Top Executive Survey is conducted annually and explores a number of topics, including business and ICT investments and priorities, ICT sourcing and governance, green IT, and the overall impact of ICT on business activities and achievements. Our study covers the same topics and provides comparative data from previous Top Executive Surveys as well as segmented data analysis where applicable.
"Our survey highlights that top executives in Canada recognize the significant advantage that ICT investments can provide to their organization and that they expect an increase in the contribution ICT investments will make in driving competitive advantage. With this increasing importance comes the need to make ICT strategy a critical component in every company' s overall strategy," says Vito Mabrucco, SVP Worldwide Consulting, and managing director of IDC Canada.
