Abstract
This IDC study highlights key findings from a survey conducted in January 2008 of business analytics buyers who were recruited through InfoWorld' s Web site. The findings suggest a healthy business analytics market in 2008. Key differences between midsize and large organizations are highlighted.
"The findings from our latest business analytics adoption survey indicate continued strength in the market. Buyers are seeking to expand their organization' s analytic capabilities across a wide array of software functions and are making investments in both IT and the human resources needed to support these initiatives," said Brian McDonough, research manager of Business Analytics at IDC.
