Abstract
This IDC study examines the market landscape and provides a five-year forecast for the worldwide and U.S. HR services market through 2012. In 2007, HR services spending was constant with prior growth at 8%. Growth was led by Western Europe, where numerous sizable deals and a newer market began to catch up to other regions. Growth in the United States was slower than in the previous year at 8%.
"The worldwide market for HR services showed slower overall worldwide growth in 2007 in constant currency terms," said Lisa Rowan, program manager for HR and Talent Management Services at IDC. " Suppliers are advised to be aware of and plan for taking part in emerging delivery models and channels that pose a potential threat to traditional outsourcing. Suppliers are also advised to choose their clients wisely and seek those that are realistic in their expectations and are willing to embrace change."
