Abstract
This IDC study is one of a series of IDC Customer Needs and Strategies studies that examine how customers are using various business process management (BPM) products.
In this case, we discuss Metastorm BPM with three customers. The three customers include a Fortune 100 healthcare and pharmaceuticals company with 65,000 employees and two midmarket enterprises in different markets. The goal is to gain an understanding of their BPM requirements, why they purchased Metastorm software compared with other choices, their experience working with Metastorm, and their results.
"Enterprises looking for easy-to-use BPM software, particularly those with constrained access to developers, will be attracted to Metastorm' s BPM suite," according to Maureen Fleming, program director for IDC' s Business Process, Integration and Deployment Software service. "In addition, we are also beginning to see a shift from project-focused BPM to larger, more strategic initiatives. Metastorm' s recent acquisitions also position it well in this growth area."
