Abstract
This IDC update reviews 4Q07 revenue for Layer 2 and Layer 3 LAN switching and
shows the changes from quarter to quarter (QoQ) and year to year (YoY). The
information in this update stems from IDC' s Worldwide LAN Switch QView service,
which delivers a pivot table of end-user revenue, manufacturer revenue, and
port shipments by vendor, layer, speed, form factor, power over Ethernet (PoE)
capabilities, and average pricing seven weeks after the close of the calendar
