Abstract
This IDC Study examines the current state of the consumer VoIP market and its prospects for future growth in each of the 10 Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ countries. It also examines the key drivers shaping the market and how new players are changing the rules in it as well as providing brief profiles of the service providers (SPs) in each country.
"The increased use of VoIP services is a threat to traditional SPs PSTN revenue. As a result, many of these operators have now started to provide VoIP services to retain their customers and prevent customer churn," says Kenneth Liew, senior analyst, Communications Research, IDC Asia/Pacific.
