Abstract
This IDC study sizes the market for IP VPN services in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ in 2005 and 2006. IDC also forecasts the revenue opportunities available to SPs from 2007 to 2011.
"Despite of the healthy growth rates, even IP VPN services are showing clear signs of becoming commoditized as more and more SPs are offering similar services, with almost identical quality of service (QoS) and levels of service guarantees. As a consequence, carriers will find it increasingly difficult to differentiate themselves and their offerings and new approaches will be necessary," says Claus Mortensen, principal, Asia/Pacific Emerging Technologies Research, IDC Asia/Pacific.
