Abstract
This IDC Insight provides an overview of Reef Point' s UCG. The case study captures the challenges faced by Reef Point that prompted the company to develop UCG. The study analyses the key decision criteria for selecting the solution, the implementation and the future strategy of the company.
This case study is based on information received from Reef Point as well as an in-depth analysis of the requirements of Next Generation IP Network requirements including IMS. This technology is relatively new and is currently being assessed by a number of operators, network equipment providers, and systems integrators worldwide. It addresses issues that have become apparent with the rapid growth of the FMC sector. The technical content of this document has been reviewed and validated by Reef Point.
