Abstract
This IDC study analyzes semiconductor consumption in the China market based on semiconductor demand for domestic consumption and provides a forecast for 2007-2011.
"China is an attractive market with opportunities and challenges throughout the country. Semiconductor vendors must keep in mind the dynamic characteristics of the China market and the strong influence that the local government has on business practices and policies. Developing strategies tailored for local support, appropriate partnerships with leading domestic OEMs, and workforce localization with suitable talent will give semiconductor vendors an advantage in competing for future business," said Patrick Liao, research manager, Asia/Pacific Semiconductors, IDC.
