This IDC study analyzes Japan's 2004 and 2005 ATA/SATA disk storage system market and presents a market forecast for 2006-2009. Supplier shares are calculated based on the actual revenue and terabyte shipments in 2003, 2004, and 1H05.

"Low-cost high-capacity ATA/SATA disk storage systems have the potential to change the direction of Japanese companies with regard to storage investment.
