Abstract
D&MDs Angiogenesis Modulators: Strategies for Drug Discovery Report provides an up-to-date
assessment of current directions and prospects in the angiogenesis modulators field. After three
decades of research in this field, human trials of angiomodulatory compounds are at last beginning
to yield commercial products with proven efficacy. Many diverse drugs targeting angiogenesis are in
clinical development. This report offers a comprehensive review of targets for angiogenesis
modulation, identifies the most promising approaches, and assesses the prospects for angiogenesis
modulators in different therapeutic areas. The Report highlights commercial opportunities for
angiogenesis inhibitors such as new therapeutic modalities in cancer, ophthalmic diseases, vascular
skin diseases, and chronic inflammatory diseases. It also assesses current and potential
applications of angiogenesis stimulators in tissue revascularization.
