Abstract

The purpose of this report is to analyze and forecast BLU used in 10-inch and higher large-size LCD module. Large-size BLU is analyzed by categorizing into monitor use, notebook PC use, TV use and other use which includes industrial use. Hence, the term "BLU" refers to all 10-inch and higher large-size BLU in this report.

Chapter 2 analyzes and forecasts BLU market size from 2007 to 2012 based on volume and amount. It allows viewing the future market growth though market trend by usage and price change trend forecast. It forecasts the market by region as well. LED BLU penetration by LED type and by application has been covered.

Most of BLU makers build production base in China as panel makers transfer their LCD module (LCM) factories to overseas such as China and Eastern Europe.

Chapter 3 analyzes and forecasts the foreign BLU production, and explores paradigm movement of the industry in numerical value. Moreover, it discusses the recent European, Southern Asia and South America LCM factory entry of LCD makers.

Chapter 4 explores a short-term market forecast. It forecasts a quarterly market from 1Q 2008 to 4Q 2009. It forecasts price and market size by quarter regarding each use and representative inch in detail.

Chapter 5 covers LED BLU development status by application. Major players' development trend and roadmap have been explained.

Chapter 6 explores cost analysis regarding product of representative inch by use. It analyzes 19-inch and 24-inch RGB LED BLU monitor. For notebook, 15.4"W (CCFL/LED) and 12.1"W white LED BLU cost anlysis have been covered. It also analyzes white LED product since it began active shipment lately. It analyzes 32"W and 40"W TV BLU' s. In terms of 40"W, it analyzes cost regarding LED BLU employed with mid-power white LED and RGB LED.

Chapter 7 explores supply chain and market share status.
